Milk Snake Habitat
Milk snakes live in a temperate forest biome. They are usually found under logs, tree stumps, rocks, and around marshes. These are the locations that Milk snakes live in during the summer, fall, and autumn, during the winter milk snakes go into hibernation and hav a change of shelter. Although they may stay in the same region they are no longer found under logs, rocks or tree stumps. Milk snakes retreat to barns for a safe place during that season. Milk snakes do not interact with their species unless it is competition over a mate. They do not interact with other species unless they are their prey and the milk snake is hungry. Milk snakes are tertiary consumers, meaning they are at the top of the food chain.
